PANGEA PROVIDES ARTS-BASED WORKSHOPS
Over the years Pangea has developed and shared a wide variety of workshops designed for students and adults, schools and businesses alike, which tackle issues that are both universal and the immediate, from leadership-building and non-violence to immigration, diversity and raising awareness about domestic violence.
GLOBAL THEATER FOR YOUTH
Pangea World Theater’s workshops, and camps are designed to build global consciousness through theater that encourages youth to think creatively about their art and the world. Our goal is to build strong youth leaders through the exciting and challenging process of creating theater.

7 week spring Saturday session:
In this class, students will explore acting and the collaborative creative process of theater while engaging issues that affect our world. Students will perform scenes inspired by stories from around the world that will encourage teamwork, leadership, and strong communication skills.

WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS
Our workshops give opportunities to managers, lawyers and other professionals from the private and public sectors, as well as students from all backgrounds and most age-groups. Pangea World Theater offers experiential workshops that are designed to encourage confident and creative communication by stretching the voice, the body and the imagination. Deconstructing the Media and its effects on society
Based on the workshops and performance of Pangea’s Spring 2005 production, In the Mirror, a media-inspired exploration and critique of the mass media its impact on society. Call for details.

Domestic violence and immigration
This workshop is based on Journey to Safety , created in association with Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights and performed city-wide at a variety of human rights-oriented conferences and gatherings over the past year.
Freedom, Peace, and Understanding: Exploring Image and Reality in Turbulent Times
What is terrorism? What is Patriotism? What do these labels mean and how can we transcend them to achieve lasting peace and justice nonviolently through the arts? This workshop, based on Pangea World Theater’s play From the Ashes, as well as reports by Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights, deals with issues surrounding the war on terror, including immigration, exile, racial profiling, and freedom of speech. Appropriate for adults and students.
Spoken Word:
Taught by local spoken word artists and poets, including J-Otis Powell!, among others.
