Pangea World Theater performed From the Ashes, our most recent ensemble piece, as part of the historic First National Asian American Theater Festival at the Abingdon Theatre in New York, NY. This journey has launched our global touring initiative. This widens our audience nationally and internationally, helping the mission of Pangea become a truly global experience!

Pangea’s International Institute for Movement and Theater Training continues its series of classes that focus on physical exercises and body movements from all over the world with the South Indian martial art kalaripayattu.
Kalari is one of the oldest martial arts forms in the world originating in Southern India. This training is all about disciplining the physical body and attaining mental balance. Many movments are similar to those practiced in Yoga, with a focus on self-defense and increased energy and stamina. Pangea World Theater is one of the few institutions in the U.S. that offer training in this unique art form. All age groups and ability levels are encouraged to join!

Classes are held 3 days per week and instructed by Dipankar Mukherjee, student of Guru Shaji K. John.
Class times:
- Tuesday 6:00-7:30pm
- Thursday 6:00-7:30pm
- Saturday 9:00-10:30am
Class Fee: $75 per month for 3 classes per week or $50 per month for Saturday classes. Fees are due on the 1st of each month.
