Five daughters are forced into mourning by their mother. One by one they make a bid for freedom, with tragic consequences. Don’t miss Lorca’s critically acclaimed masterpiece brought to life by Pangea World Theater and Teatro del Pueblo.

“[Laurie] Carlos brings a strong directorial vision to the text”
- Star Tribune

In The House of Bernarda Alba, Lorca addresses patriarchal constraints faced by women and anticipates Spain’s fall to a fascist regime. Within a year of completing The House of Bernarda Alba, Lorca was murdered as the Spanish Civil war escalated.
