Pangea World Theater is the only theater in the Twin Cities with a mandate to use diverse artists to create, produce, and present artistic, risky, innovative theater that makes the larger community aware of the richness and varied contributions of artists from different backgrounds and ethnicities in the Twin Cities and around the world. You can help secure its future and guarantee its continued artistic growth by supporting us in one of many ways: memberships, donations or volunteering.
“Since 1995, Pangea’s productions have brought a powerful mix of imagination, and creative rigor to its stages. In addition to more than sixty productions dealing with complex social and political issues from around the globe, it has also created a home for new voices, exploring new stories and new ways of telling.”
-Bill Cleveland, author and founder and Director of the Center for the Study of Art and Community
It’s quite something to consider the number of local theaters that have closed their doors in the past few years. We reflect on this with mixed feelings, loss for colleagues who have exited their theaters for the last time, hope for the reemergence of these friends in new and exciting projects for the stage, satisfaction that Pangea’s doors are wide open and inviting and deep gratitude to the foundations that support our work and individuals like you that keep coming back!
In order for Pangea to continue enriching the Twin Cities with “new voices, new stories and new ways of telling” we need you to contribute to our Annual Fund. Pangea and its staff are not immune to the dire effects of the economy. We all understand how difficult it is to give at a time like this…but give we must as an endorsement of what is important. We hope that you believe and value the importance of Pangea’s efforts to bring diverse artists together to confront stereotypes, challenge audiences, and push the boundaries of theater.
Please consider making a contribution to Pangea. The truth is, every dollar helps us keep Pangea’s doors open for you.
In peace,
Dipankar Mukherjee, Artistic Director
