PANGEA
CAMP

Policies and Procedures

If you have any questions about the below, please contact Sarah Tan (Education Lead) at sarahtan@pangeaworldtheater.org or 612-300-4909.

Accessibility and Inclusion

As part of our commitment to creating intersectional and welcoming spaces at Pangea, we make intentional choices in our classrooms to create a creative space that allows for successful ensemble building, risk-taking, and play for individuals of all identities and abilities. We warmly welcome any communication with Sarah Tan (Education Lead) prior to the first day of camp to discuss any accommodations and support strategies (including but not limited to any illness, injury, chronic conditions, disability, or allergy) for your young person.

Attendance

At Pangea, we deeply value the power of ensemble. This means that in all the work we do, we collaborate as a team – supporting and depending on each other to create our best work. Attendance and presence in class is therefore critical and necessary. Consecutive absences may also affect how a young person is able to engage in the final showcases.  Please check your schedules before registering for a program.

However, if you/your student will be late or need to miss a class or camp day due to an illness, please contact Sarah Tan as soon as possible. Knowing about an absence in advance helps us have peace of mind during check-in and helps teachers adjust lessons accordingly.

There are no refunds or discounts for missed classes.

Cancellations and Refunds

Full refunds are given if requested up to two weeks before the first day of camp. Refunds must be requested in writing in an email to Sarah Tan.

We do not offer refunds for registrations canceled less than two weeks before the camp starts. However, any tuition that you’ve paid for the canceled camp can be used towards a future camp or Pangea event.

However, we do acknowledge that sometimes camps are not what was expected. If, after completing the first day of camp, your young person decides that it’s not for them, just let Sarah Tan know before the second day and we will refund your payment minus the first day’s tuition.

Code of Conduct

In order to provide everyone with a safe and supportive environment, Pangea does not condone any form of physical or verbal abuse, vandalism, or the use of any and all illegal substances. Any behaviors found in violation of this policy will be addressed and the student may be asked to leave class. No weapons of any kind may be brought into the building.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event that a camp or camp day is canceled due to inclement weather, we will email all class participants. If possible, we will make up the class but if it cannot be made up, a refund will be issued.

Liability

Pangea World Theater is not liable for the well-being and safety of participants who are around any of our facilities before a program begins or after a program ends.

Photography and Videography

Pangea World Theater and contracted photographers reserve the right to use photos and videos taken in class for promotional and archival purposes. By signing up for camp, you agree to the use of your/your students' photo in promotional materials unless otherwise noted.

Registration

Registrations are processed in the order they are received. Registrations are accepted as long as space is available. We do not offer prorated tuition.

Release Agreement

By registering your young person in a camp, you agree to the following: Although every effort is made to provide a safe environment, I recognize there is always a risk of accidents. By submitting a registration, I agree to be responsible for any medical bills incurred resulting from illness or injury during my young person’s participation at Pangea. I release Pangea from any and all liability and/or claims or damages arising out of personal injury of any kind. If necessary, I authorize Pangea to administer first aid and/or authorize medical treatment to my young person.

Siblings/Guests

In order to provide a space that allows for creative vulnerability and focused learning, we are not permitting unregistered siblings or guests to observe students in the classroom during regular camp hours. The only exception made will be during the Friday showcase where families and friends are more than welcomed to join us in celebrating students’ work.

Waitlists

We maintain waitlists for any full camps. If a spot becomes available, we will notify you by email and/or phone in the order the waitlist registrations were received.
