Don’t You Feel It Too?: Belonging on Lake Street
Tuesday, June 12th & Thursday, June 14th 5:00-7:00pm
Plaza Centenario, 1200 E Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55407
Inspired by the public and communal processing of “Don’t You Feel It Too?” Keila Anali Saucedo, of Pangea World Theater’s Arts Organizing Institute, invites you to dream into summer with journaling, skit creation, and dancing! As words like gentrification, urbanization, and ‘growth’ increase in our conversations about Lake Street, it is critical that we bring creativity to our community discussions.
At the only green space on Lake Street, Plaza Centenario (located on 12th and Lake street) we invite you to journal on the prompts “What does Lake street want to be?” and “I feel like I belong on Lake street when…” We’ll then move into skit creations and conversation based on our journaling. Afterwards we invite you to join in on “Don’t You Feel It Too?”, a joyous opportunity to dance to your own music and feel what you feel!
